Welcome

Our Community College System offers educational programs leading to Associates Degree or Technical Degree. Historically community colleges were created to fulfill a community’s needs for technically trained citizens and provide an affordable path to a four year College or University education. Community College students interested in a four year degree are provided the opportunity to complete the freshman and sophomore curriculum inexpensively and near home.

Community colleges are known for the personal attention  they give students. They are designed to provide low cost, but high quality education including certification programs within the student's community.

Community colleges provide a supportive environment for high school students making the transition to four year colleges.  They are also the first institutions of higher learning  the community turns to when technology and the demands of the workplace require employees to be trained for new careers.

When the cost of commercial colleges, for-pay technical schools, and four year colleges and universities are compared to the value provided by community colleges there is no comparison. Community colleges provide greater value.

Community Colleges are known for the dedication of their teachers, instructors, professors, adjunct professors and staff who offer personal direction and encouragement to students.

Community College Supporters was formed to assist in maintaining the high standards of community colleges, CCS is working to support the philosophy of higher education within the community, and insure that every student no matter their economic background will have the opportunity, at low cost, to themselves and the taxpayer, to attend a community college.
